Stephanie Frangos Hagan has practiced Family Law exclusively for more than 35 years and is one of the founding members of Hagan, Weisberg & Nunn, LLC. Known for her aggressive, yet sophisticated brand of advocacy, Stephanie is a formidable opponent whether she is litigating complex financial matters—including business and partnership interests—or negotiating delicate custody and parenting time issues at the conference table. Her deep experience handling highly complex financial and custodial matters on a regular basis has earned the respect of her colleagues throughout the legal community.

Stephanie is highly sought after for her expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), which allows clients to resolve high-stakes issues privately and efficiently. She has been a Court Approved Family Law Mediator since 2001 and is also a Court Approved Parent Coordinator. She is renowned for her exceptional ability to both mediate and litigate high-income wage earner and complex financial matters, leading to successful resolution without the need for trial. In addition to her court appointments, she actively conducts private mediations.

Stephanie has demonstrated a profound commitment to legal ethics and leadership throughout her career. She is a past-chair of the New Jersey State Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee and has been a member of the committee for more than 25 years. She was the recipient of the prestigious Legislative Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association in December 2013 for her legislative efforts. Furthermore, Stephanie is a former Trustee and past President of the Morris County Bar Association and also served as President and Trustee of the Morris County Bar Foundation. She has also served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee and was elected to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Nominating Committee for a two-year term.

A frequent lecturer, moderator, and panelist, Stephanie is committed to educating her peers on cutting-edge family law topics, including Alimony, Child Support, Equitable Distribution, Custody/Parenting time, LGBTQ+ issues, Cohabitation, Relocation, and Palimony. She has regularly lectured at prestigious events, including the Annual New Jersey Family Law Symposium. She has also served for more than twenty-five (25) years as a Blue-Ribbon panelist for the Family Law Early Settlement Panel in Union, Essex, and Morris Counties, and was the former Chair and Vice-Chair of the Fee Arbitration Committee for District X (Morris County).
