Stephanie Frangos Hagan has practiced Family Law exclusively for more than 35 years, and is one of the founding members of Hagan, Weisberg & Nunn, LLC. Her experience has won the respect of her colleagues in the legal community. Yet, she remains in a class by herself.

Known for her aggressive brand of advocacy, Stephanie is a formidable opponent. Whether advocating in the courthouse or negotiating across a conference room table, she is a force to be reckoned with.  She handles highly complex financial as well as custody matters on a regular basis.

A frequent lecturer, moderator and panelist, Stephanie has lectured regularly on a variety of family law topics including Alimony, Child Support, Equitable Distribution (including business and partnership interests), Custody/Parenting time, LGBTQ+ issues, Cohabitation, Relocation, Palimony and other important family law issues.  Stephanie has lectured regularly at the Annual New Jersey Family Law Symposium as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Hot Tips in Family Law Seminar, the Jeffrey P. Weinstein Family Law Institute, New Jersey State Bar Association Institute for Continuing Legal Education, as well as New Jersey State Bar Association’s Mid-Year Retreat and Annual Meetings in Atlantic City.  Stephanie has also lectured for the Family Law section of the Morris, Essex and Union County Bar Associations as well as the North Jersey Barry Croland Family Law Inn of Court.

Stephanie has served for more than twenty (25) years as a Blue-Ribbon panelist for the Family Law Early Settlement Panel in Union, Essex and Morris Counties.  In addition, she is appointed as a mediator by Family Court judges throughout New Jersey.  She has been a Court Approved Family Law Mediator since 2001 and is a Court Approved Parent Coordinator. Stephanie is known for her ability to mediate and litigate high income wage earners and other complex financial as well as custody and parenting time matters to resolution.  In addition to her work as a court appointed mediator, she also handles private mediations and is certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as a Family Law Arbitrator. Stephanie has been appointed as an arbitrator in highly complex matters involving multiple multimillion dollar commercial and real estate properties as well as partnership/business interests.  As a Court Approved Parent Coordinator, Stephanie works with parents to resolve daily parenting time issues that arise in high conflict custody matters.

Stephanie is a past-chair of the New Jersey State Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee having served as the Chair of the Section in 2017/2018.  Stephanie has been a member of the committee for more than 25 years and received the prestigious Legislative Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association in December 2013 for her legislative efforts as a member of the committee. In 2018 Stephanie was elected to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Nominating Committee for a two-year term and previously served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee. Stephanie is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Legislative, Professional Responsibility and Meetings Arrangements and Programing Committees.

In addition to the state bar association, Stephanie is also a former Trustee and past President of the Morris County Bar Association having been installed as President on January 17th, 2019.  She is also a Trustee of the Morris County Bar Foundation having served as President in 2017. Stephanie was previously the co-chair of the Family Law Committee for the Morris County Bar Association as well as the former Chair and vice-chair of the Fee Arbitration Committee for District X (Morris County).
